Adoption

Staying on the Right Path

Thousands of Texas children in foster care need permanent families. Adoption is a great way to provide the love and security every child deserves.

Pathways serves children and youth ages 0-17 who are placed in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Children placed in foster care typically experience various social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties due to abuse, neglect, exploitation, and removal from their family. Many children need professional therapeutic and familial support while experiencing foster care.

LEARN MORE

Pathways supports foster and adoptive parents by sending therapist and experts into each home.

Support

Foster/adoptive families are busy people so we send our therapists and clinical experts into each home to provide individual therapy , family therapy , or group therapy services depending on each child and family’s needs. Crisis  Management is also available to the caregivers when necessary to help them problem solve and provide support to the child in their home.

Training

Foster/adoptive parents are special people with special skills. We provide training for each parent before children are placed in their home, as well as ongoing training tailored to address the individual issues of the children in their care, and the families’ needs as well. We also work side-by-side with our families within the community to advocate for the services and resources Pathways’ children require.
